The story so far...
My Dad was in the RAF, and one of his postings was to Cyprus, around September 1986. I was just 11 years old when we left for that hot and pleasant land, and I ended up going to the same school as most other children who lived at either RAF Akrotiri (as I did), Episkopi or Berengaria did, and that was St Johns. And what a great time I had until I left in July 1989!
I lived at 23 Queens Road between 1986 and 1989. During the 3 years I was at St. Johns, I was in the tutor groups 1HN, 2HN (I think) and 3DY. I spent most of my time at either the sailing club or the water-ski club (WCSWSC). I also won the All Island Junior Table Tennis Champion in 1988, though strangely it only seemed to involve people from St. Johns. And no-one else seems to remember my victory!
Here is a Akrotiri Virtual Tour, which also includes all the pictures of St Johns that I could find.
